From the Owner:
The beauty of my house is that we are secluded from the big wave and boat action in the main part of the lake. We actually have what amounts to our own private lake away from most of the noise and heavy boat traffic. When you look out over the lake you don't see another cabin or a bunch of boat docks. We are treated to the natual beauty of the mountains unspoiled by houses. A hammock on the porch is a wonderful way to spend some lazy time just looking at the mountains.
This is a great place to raise your kids and watch them growing and enjoying the lake. My children learned to water ski, swim, and boat and over the years they have met so many other friends on the lake as well as local Rabun County children.
The house sits just four tenths of a mile from US 76 and there is pavement right to the door. The house has distinct warmth to it. Approximately 2400 sq. feet of floor space. All walls are either pine or cedar. We have two bedrooms, two baths, two lofts, two fireplaces, two porches and a two stall boathouse. Lunch on the boat house is always a treat. You also don't have to be a mountain goat to get to the water. The house sits about 20 ft. from the shore line. The house has central heating and air-conditioning. It has it own 500 gallon propane tank buried. This allows you to buy propane from anyone you like and not the gas supplier who rents most tanks.
It takes just ten minutes to get to Clayton for Shopping. Some cabins on the lake take ten minutes just to get to a paved road. We have been on the lake many years and it is now time to move on and let someone else enjoy what we have enjoyed.
If you're looking for another city house you are in the wrong place. When we go to the lake we want to know and feel we are not in Altanta. A lake cabin should be just that, not an extension of your city home.
